Alpha Omega, St. Helena, Napa Valley  https://www.aowinery.com

As I start this new series sharing my experiences, initially across California wineries and tasting rooms, it only makes sense to start with the one and only Alpha Omega, my all-time favorite that I compare all others to. So what makes this so special and memorable? Certainly the quality of the wine stands out, and then there’s the St Helena location in Napa Valley, then add in the comfortable outdoor seating of comfy chairs and sofas overlooking a gorgeous pond with fountains – I could sit there all day nurturing a delicious Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc, followed by some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignons in the valley !

I encourage all visitors to the Napa Valley region who love high quality wine, both red and white, to make a reservation here and create new memories. Yes the wines are expensive  but excellence generally comes at a higher price. For those that work in wineries in California and elsewhere, you’ll be spoiled here at Alpha Omega where they honor those who work in the wine industry, and match exchange benefits no matter what your role – just bring a business card or ID from another winery or tasting room and be rewarded with a free tasting and as much as a 35% discount off bottle purchases.

Come join me – I’ll be the tall guy outside relaxing on a sofa overlooking the fountains, chatting with friends and raising a glass to some of the best reds and whites in the valley.
